Braidwood Sporting Clays is now on the market.  After over 20 years involvement in running clay shoots we have decided to retire.  Since stepping out of banking in 2000 we have concentrated on expanding the business.  Five years ago we invested in a new clubhouse  which now includes a busy gun shop, cartridge warehouse, clothing store and restaurant.

The reason for sale is purely a decision to retire, having worked hard to get to where we are now and thoroughly enjoying ourselves in the process.  Despite the general economic conditions the business continues to grow.  We’ve currently got 600+ ground members.  Until very recently we hadn’t given any thought to what happens next  until one of customers made a comment about how busy the place is and did we have someone to take over?  That prompted us to think about the future and what it holds.  None of our family are interested in shooting, all having their own lives and careers, and so it seems like now’s the time for someone else to follow on and take the business forward.

Braidwood occupies just over 40 acres, is located 45 miles from Edinburgh, and is offered with vacant possession. The sale includes a modern, three-bedroom family house, clubhouse incorporating a 100+ seater restaurant/coffee shop, gun shop, country clothing store and cartridge warehouse.
