DTL MATTERS

Please repond;

DTL Matters December 2011.
Several team members have questioned the procedure we currently use to select the DTL team, and essentially what they are asking is could we do it better, and could it be used to improve our team performance?

Suggestions have included: -

    • The introduction of compulsory shoots,
    • The introduction of a points system based on a shooters position in any given shoot e.g. 1st 2nd etc.
    • The use of a mark up system as used in Sporting.

What do you think?

  1. The appointment of overall team Captain.

For clarification the current procedure for the selection of overall team Captain for the DTL HCIT is as follows. The overall Captain can come from any category e.g. lady, veteran etc. and is simply selected by ballot of all team members the remaining categories are then based on the highest score in the relative category.

  1. DTL Championship Awards.

In future Scottish Championships badges will be awarded to the class winners i.e. AA, A, B and C on the second day of the event, this would reflect current practice in the other home countries, none are currently presented at the Scottish Championships.

Some re-allocation of trophies is also being considered if you have any thoughts on the subject your input would be useful.

  1. Shoot-Offs The 10 Second Rule.

It has been agreed by the Home Countries to extend the time allowed for a shooter to reload and shoot from 10s to 15s in shoot offs and when a squad is incomplete. This is to be applied to all selection shoots.
