Discipline Manager's Role

Scope of responsibilities

THIS IS A DRAFT DOCUMENT AND CURRENTLY UNDER DISCUSSION 

  • Administer all aspects of the discipline.
  • Focal point for all matters concerning the discipline.
  • Assist the Board and Directors to further enhance the particular discipline which the person is responsible for and for all members of the association.
  • Be available to answer communication from the members.
  • Be Prepared to assist on additional Sub Committees or other boards which the SCTA have representation.
  • Be present and manage the Championships.
  • Represent the SCTA at Home Internationals.
  • Regularly review and administer the current discipline guidelines / rules.
  • Work in conjunction with Championship Administrator for arrangements for the Championships and Home Internationals.
  • Attend Board meetings and other such meetings such as the Shoot Date Fixtures.
  • Be prepared to contribute a number of unpaid hours each month for the development of the discipline and sport.
  • Liaise and give direction to the Championship Administrator regarding all aspects concerning the Scottish Championships and Home Internationals
  • Liaise with Team Manager in period leading up to the International as to prospective team candidates.
  • Supply the Team Manager with the relevant information regarding the Home International,
  • Submit list of the Selected Team after the Scottish Championships to the Treasurer and arrange for the Team Expenses at the appropriate level based on location of the Home International.
  • Liaise with the Secretary regarding list of entries for Championships, list of past winners, SCTA Badges and keep Cups.
  • Arrange for Jury of experienced shooter.
  • Conduct Squading draw at Championship if appropriate.
  • Liaise with ground to carry out ground inspections
  • Investigate any concerns raised by members or grounds and if necessary convene a subcommittee of additional board members to investigate the issue.
