Equal Opportunity Policy Statement

The Scottish Clay Target Association (SCTA) policy is to ensure that any eligible person irrespective of Age, Race, Gender, Religion, Ethnic Origin, Colour, Social Status, Sexual Orientation or Disability may apply for membership of the SCTA. Also that every SCTA member be given a genuine and equal opportunity to represent Scotland in International and Domestic competition, in any clay target shooting discipline or role, as a Competitor, Referee, Official, Coach, Manager, or any administrative appointment made by the SCTA.

The SCTA publishes a team selection policy that is fair and provides equality for every member.

The SCTA provides a policy to ensure that every team official receives fair treatment in all aspects of the sport.

The SCTA will not disadvantage anyone in any way by imposing any condition or requirement upon them that cannot be fully justified.

The SCTA reserves the right to discipline any member or assisting official who discriminates on the grounds of a persons Age, Race, Gender, Religion, Ethnic Origin, Colour, Social Status, Sexual Orientation or Disability.

The SCTA will monitor this policy on a regular basis and will publish it on its website for the use and reference of all affiliated clubs and individual members.

The SCTA will take into account the following legislation and any amendments published by;

1 Race Relations Act and Amendments
2 The Sexual Discrimination Act
3 The Disability Discrimination Acts
4 The Firearms Acts
5 The Human Rights Acts
6 The Children and Vulnerable Adult Legislation

All of the Policies adopted by the SCTA are constantly under revision and you are advised to examine them on a regular basis .
