Very important information about the proposed future of Shooting in Scotland
Please note that information regarding the DTL, FITASC and OT internationals is available in the "Latest News" section
2014 has been a very busy year for the SCTA during which we have increased our membership by more than 300, made up by 140 new members and the balance being returning members, and we hope to attract even more in 2015.
The highlight of the year has to be the shotgun shooting events held at Barry Buddon for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. It is just a shame that the facility could not have been retained for future use, but we do have Government backing to build a new National Shooting facility by 2016. Congratulations go to Drew Christie on winning 'Silver' in Olympic Skeet for Scotland, very well done.
It is a great pleasure working alongside my fellow Directors, who work tirelessly to improve our Association for you our members and Scottish shooting. Next year we will see some welcome changes to Team selection procedures.
As the year draws to a close, we would like to wish all of our members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
